ΠAIΩNIOY ΣYNAPXIA ANTIOXEΩN Athena standing left, holding spear with her right hand and shield with her left. RPC I 2834. Attractive earthen deposits. Very fine.

Synarchy literally means 'joint rule'. Here, it refers to a committee of magistrates, of which Paionios was a member and which might have been responsible for the coin production of the polis
